One satisfied patron, Christine Andrews, lauded the café for its rapid service and delectable offerings after a charity walk, particularly raving about the deep-fried chicken waffle. Meanwhile, Diana Waines praised the robust coffee, noting how the transition in management has uplifted the ambiance and hit the right notes in flavor.

However, recent feedback from Roger Watts described a dip in quality compared to previous visits, suggesting that a touch more diligence could elevate the experience further. This mixture of opinions paints a picture of a café in transition—one that has a solid foundation and the potential to shine even brighter with a bit more attention to detail.

Dropped in for breakfast on a weekend. The coffee was nice and food was fresh and well portioned. I had the corn fritter special, it was nice enough but the fritters themselves could have been better. Taken one star off as half our food were forgotten and same for the table next to us. Though the person bringing the missing food was very apologetic so overall a pleasant enough experience

Very happy we found this place today. The food is delicious. We went here after a 9km charity walk. The coffee and food was really fast to come out. The deep fried chicken waffle was so delicious. I tried the salami and meatball toasted sandwich and the peri peri chicken toasted sandwich.

What a shame! The last time I was here it was superb but two years later it has lost its shine. Coffee - Barista training required for espresso shots & milk texturing (over three days I rated the coffee 3 out of 5) Service - Quick, but FOH staff in dirty aprons detracted from it Food - A little bit more care with the eggs benedict would help. 5% more effort all round would fix this I expect...

First time visit since they changed management & name. Used to be a delicatessen, now it has opened up inside with more seating. I just tried the coffee & always order a double shot in a small cup. In this case it was unnecessary as the coffee was bold & robust with good flavour. Pleasant service too

Tasty croissant spinach and chicken pie was good. Fresh juice was excellent. No complaints but beef pie wasn’t 100%. Next visit 5 stars.
